Senior Auditor position
Cooper Williams LLC is seeking an Audit Senior who has a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, an active CPA license, two to five years of audit experience, and a thorough understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and complex audit procedures and techniques. Experience conducting ERISA audits is a plus but not required. Position may require travel 10-15% of time.
An Audit Senior reports directly to the Audit Partner and is responsible for all aspects of organizing, managing, and completing tasks and projects associated with each assigned client engagement. Typical duties include acquiring working knowledge of the client’s business, assisting in the design of the audit approach, preparing financial statements and footnote disclosures in accordance with GAAP, resolving technical issues, communicating engagement progress in a timely manner, and developing audit programs, customized procedures, budgets, business proposals, fee quotes, and engagement letters.
An Audit Senior must have strong technical, analytical, organizational, project management, and verbal and written communication skills; and must be able to work effectively—both independently and in teams--in a fast-paced work environment while also paying careful attention to detail and delivering high-quality work within time constraints.
